The Selection Tool is a tool in LDD most commonly used for moving parts, but can be used in a wide array of ways.
Variants[]
Single Selection Tool[]
When the Single Selection Tool is selected, it will allow you to select one brick at a time. It also grants you the ability to drag and highlight multiple bricks at once, something all of the selection tools allow for.
Multiple Selection Tool[]
With the Multiple Selection Tool selected, you can click on multiple pieces to highlight them. You can also highlight with this tool, but clicking on an unhighlighted block will simply add it to the selection, unlike the Single Selection Tool.
Connected Selection Tool[]
Clicking on a piece will highlight any part that is connected to it through legal means. As with every Selection Tool variant, you can also drag to highlight, but functions the same as the Single Selection tool does.
Color Selection Tool[]
This tool allows you to simultaneously highlight pieces of the same color by clicking on only one.
Shape Selection Tool[]
Very similar to the Color Selection Tool, this allows you to simultaneously highlight all pieces of the same part number and shape by simply clicking on one.
Color and Shape Selection Tool[]
This tool is a mash up of the previous two variants. It will simultaneously highlight all pieces of the same part number and color by simply clicking on one.
Invert Selection[]
This will deselect everything currently selected and select anything that isn't.
